We would like to send out a special thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors who came out for the 2010 Shock Cancer Walk. It was a success and we hope that everybody had fun at the walk, the volleyball match, and at Shocker Madness. We hope that you will join us again next year as we continue our fight against cancer!

Amount raised

We are pleased to announce that the 2010 Shock Cancer Walk brought in over $7,000. We had over 100 people participate. Thanks to those who did not walk but still donated or bought the game jerseys.

The 2010 Shock Cancer Walk was a great success and we hope to see you back in 2011!

Shock Cancer Walk 2010

The 2010 Shock Cancer Walk is an event co-sponsored by Wichita State's Sport Management Student Association (SMSA), The American Cancer Society and Wichita State Athletics.

Registration begins at 3 p.m., with the walk beginning at 3:30 p.m. Participants can register for $25, which includes a free t-shirt and a chance to walk with Wichita State athletes and coaches. Registration also includes free admission to the volleyball match at 5 p.m. (with official Shock Cancer Walk t-shirt), and Shocker Madness which follows the conclusion of the volleyball match.

Participants are encouraged to form teams for this year's event, and prizes will be awarded for the largest team and most creative team name.
